What is Honor Camp?
It is a very special outing sponsored by the troop Parents Committee to
recognize those scouts who demonstrate exceptional scout spirit by their
participation and advancement during the past qualifying year. The outing
is typically a ski/snowboard outing in February or March of the next year
with the troop providing the food and some of the costs for accommodations
or lift tickets.
Who goes to Honor Camp?
The scout must meet all of the
following requirements during the
qualifying calendar year (2008) to be considered:
NOTE: In order to earn the "Scout Spirit" requirement for the Eagle Scout rank, it is expected that the scout will participate in the Troop at the "Honor Camp Level" (meeting, or exceeding, all of the above requirements) while a Life Scout.
